Staying Safe on Tyluna
Most people you'll meet here are exactly who they say they are — but a little caution goes a long way.
🛟 Safety Check-In
Set an emergency contact and a check-in time before you meet someone — if you don't confirm you're safe, they get an automatic email.

Before you meet
- Keep chatting inside the app until you feel comfortable — you don't owe anyone your phone number or social media.
- Video chat before meeting in person to help confirm they look like their photos.
- Be wary of anyone who quickly asks for money, gift cards, or financial help — this is a common scam pattern.
Meeting in person
- Always meet in a public place for the first few dates.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting — or set up a Safety Check-In so it happens automatically.
- Arrange your own transportation to and from the date.
- Stay sober enough to keep your judgment sharp.
- Meeting a Double Date pair? The same rules apply, times two — a public place, someone who knows where you are, and your own way home, even though a friend is with you.
What the Verified badge means
A ✓ badge means someone submitted a selfie that a human on our team matched to their profile photos — it confirms the photos are genuinely of that person. It's not a background check and doesn't verify someone's identity, age, or intentions beyond that.
Trust your instincts
If something feels off, it's okay to leave, end the conversation, or cancel plans — you don't owe anyone an explanation. If someone makes you uncomfortable, block and report them from your conversation.
Report a problem
Use the Report option on any profile or conversation to flag harassment, fake profiles, or anything that violates our Terms of Service. Our moderation team reviews every report.
